Sunday Mind Splatter

I don’t think I have that strong of spring allergies, but this year seems worse than normal. Maybe it’s the delay in the warming trend, or maybe I’ve been too busy allowing my body to be invaded by mold, but it’s been a pretty bad week. My voice has gotten rougher and rougher, until working at a bar where I have to speak over very loud music is quite a chore.

And to top everything off, I spent the entire week without going out drinking at the bars. It just isn’t fair!

I’ve got tonight off from work, so hopefully I can heal up a bit.

So. Episode III.

I was going to make some long post about the movie, but there’s more than enough similar material out there on the interweb that I don’t think it’s necessary. Suffice it to say, the movie ROCKED!!! It was so elegant in explaining how we got from Point A (the prequels) to Point B (4-5-6). Every once in a while, I would gasp as some iconic image from the later films would flash on the screen. Nagging questions were answered. The midichlorians were explained in passing. The plot progressed nicely, until I was sitting in the theater twitching with anticipation of the final battles.

And as soon as I got home, I wanted to watch Episode IV to see how everything fit together.

See the movie, dammit!

(I still don’t get why people hated the Midichlorians. There’s some real logic behind it, and it still fits into the Force mythos. I swear, some people…)

The workouts are getting real intense right now, and I’m surprised with the amount of weight I can shove around. I’ve been hearing, “Have you been working out?” a lot more lately, so that helps keep me motivated. And the funny thing is that I’m not all that sore afterwards. It seems wrong.

I figure I’ve got another week to eat before I have to cut down. I’d better make the most of it.
