I was there from Six
Command and Conquer is coming back, baybee!
C&C3 comes out at the end of next month, and we’ve got wonderful cheesy FMV goodness. Michael Ironside, Boomer and Six from BSG, Sawyer from Lost… and Kane!!! I’ve never spent that much time playing in the C&C universe, but after trying the demo I think I might be sold. Why?
Cheesy FMV sequences!
A user interface that actually makes sense! Seriously, most RTS games have some kind of weird dyslexic keypad scheme that is completely unweildly and all I want to do is be able to remap my keys into something that makes sense. That’s one of the things that I love about WoW (and likely LotRO) is that you can keybind everything. Most FPS allow you to change your keymap to your liking. It’s a good thing. Why a RTS thinks it is above that… it’s the usual learning curve that I’m just not interested in climbing. C&C3 looks to get it very, very right.
Did I mention Boomer, Six, and Sawyer?
It’s on the list of “maybe” games, but I have a feeling that it might actually make it into the purchase column. And that’s a big thing.
(Now, Crackdown… that’s a rental. It looks like a FUN rental. Thank you, Gamefly!)
